But the player you’ve met, s/he was on the NA/EU server, correct? And it does not matter how many years you have to grind out the gear, the # of mats is simply too much to not cross the line between fun and chores. Most folks like doing something else, even if it’s the same content on a different character….
Crafting is inaccessible because it takes open world mats that regenerate very slowly, and require the special things to gather R4PG BNS Gold, and you cannot know in advance if the cost of an implement will exceed the cost of the gathered mat. In addition, you require materials like moontears that are biddable, so it is easier to pay an established crafter with an access to the farming group for the end item then to try both to level and obtained all the endless mats yourself, because in the end you will pay more trying to get all that stuff.
I play on NA. Yes some mats are expensive, but there are also things in this game that sell very very well. Moonwater transformation stones are an example. In order to get those you either are going to have to craft them, or grind them. You sound like a person that is limited on time, as is many others that play BnS. As you continue to upgrade your gear into higher tiers, the currency cost is going to go up a lot. I’ll give an example of what I saved not too long ago.
I upgraded my weapon to the next tier and didn’t like how it looked. If I didn’t have a subscription, the cost to change the appearance would have costed me 1.5 BNS Gold. However, due to the subscription I only needed 50ish silver then. When I get enough materials for all Siren accessories, I’ll be saving around 7.8 gold in the initial upgrade costs. Regardless if you find these examples valid or not is your call. I will say that you should really learn how to play the market as that is going to be a huge factor in your financial success in the game.
